Travel Information

Galway Airport is served by local airline Aer Arann, who operate services to and from Dublin, Manchester, London Luton, and Edinburgh.

Some international visitors may wish to reach Galway by air via Shannon Airport, which is connected to Galway City by bus.

Alternatively, visitors may wish to travel via Ireland West Airport (formerly Knock Airport). Ireland West Airport has recently been connected to Galway city via the national bus network, Bus Eireann (see here).

By Train

Galway is well served by regular intercity trains from Dublin (Heuston Station).

By Bus

Bus Eireann is the main service provider with private companies offering additional services.

Citylink has direct routes from Galway City to Clifden, Dublin City, Dublin Airport and Shannon Airport.

GoBus operates 14 non-stop services daily from Dublin Airport to Galway City.
